TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Although it may not be the most exciting read, you must carefully review our Terms and Conditions before applying to a program. The following Terms and Conditions apply to all volunteer programs facilitated by Volungo Abroad.

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:
– “you”, “your”, “participant”, and “individual” refer to all persons named on the application form and any person added or substituted at a later date.
– “Volungo Abroad”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Volungo Abroad.

By submitting an application to Volungo Abroad, and either settling the payment of the invoice or booking our services in writing (valid without signature), you confirm your agreement to these Terms and Conditions and acknowledge that you have read all relevant information for the selected program(s).

These Terms and Conditions apply to all new applications and may be modified at any time without prior notice.
1. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory for all programs facilitated by Volungo Abroad. We strongly recommend that you secure your travel insurance policy as soon as your participation is confirmed. This helps ensure coverage in case of unforeseen events that may lead to trip cancellation, depending on the terms of your policy.

It is your responsibility to obtain a comprehensive insurance policy that covers all aspects of your time abroad. This includes — but is not limited to — coverage for medical issues, personal belongings, trip and flight cancellations, and any activities you intend to participate in during your program. Your policy should typically begin on the day you depart from your home country and extend until the day you return, not only for the duration of your volunteer placement.

Volungo Abroad is not authorized to recommend or advise on specific insurance providers or policies. Therefore, it is your sole responsibility to evaluate and select a policy that adequately covers your travel dates, destinations, and volunteer activities.
2. Flights and Related Travel Arrangements
You are solely responsible for arranging and paying for your travel to and from your destination(s). Volungo Abroad does not provide flight booking services and cannot be held liable for any changes, delays, or cancellations made by your airline. We strongly recommend that you secure a return or onward ticket in advance, as immigration authorities may deny entry without proof of onward travel. All relevant travel documents should be kept with you at all times during your journey.

When booking flights, we advise that you carefully review the airline’s policies — especially regarding changes, cancellations, and refund conditions. Flexible tickets may offer more security in case you need to adjust your travel dates. Be aware that booking through third-party agents can involve additional restrictions or fees compared to booking directly with the airline.

If you choose flight itineraries involving “self-transfers,” please ensure you fully understand the implications. These typically require you to collect baggage, go through security, and check in again for connecting flights — often with a minimum recommended layover of three hours. You are responsible for checking whether transit visas are required. Missed connections usually require the purchase of a new ticket and may affect your return itinerary. Such issues are generally not covered by standard travel insurance.

Please refer to the specific details of your chosen program to understand what local ground transportation, if any, is included. In most cases, airport pickup is available on designated arrival days. You must provide your complete and confirmed flight details no later than 21 days prior to arrival to ensure proper coordination with the local partner team. If you arrive outside the scheduled date or time, you may need to cover additional transport costs.

Standby flights are not permitted. We recommend that you reconfirm your flight with the airline 72 hours before departure and check in online 24 hours in advance. In case of delays or changes during transit, you are responsible for immediately updating the local team in your destination using the direct contact information provided. If changes occur more than 48 hours before your departure, please inform your Volungo Abroad Program Coordinator.
3. Applications
Applications to Volungo Abroad programs must be submitted through our official website. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance and is subject to program availability and applicant suitability.

The individual completing the application (the “lead applicant”) must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years and accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all individuals named in the application. Applications are made with the understanding that Volungo Abroad collaborates with local partner organizations, such as NGOs, which are responsible for hosting and supervising volunteers in the destination country.

Volungo Abroad does not charge an application fee. However, your participation will only be confirmed once the full program fee has been paid. While submitting the application initiates the process of matching you with a suitable local partner organization, your place in the program is not guaranteed until full payment has been received and confirmed by our team.

If we are unable to place you in your selected program after payment, you will be offered an alternative option or a full refund of the amount paid.

Do not book flights, accommodation, or other travel arrangements until you have received a formal confirmation from Volungo Abroad. You are responsible for reviewing your program’s orientation materials, including any planned interruptions (such as local holidays), and for verifying whether a minimum number of participants is required for your selected project.

In some cases, you may be required to submit additional documentation requested by the host organization. These requirements will be communicated after your application is processed.

If you intend to complete a Volungo Abroad program as part of a university, college, or school elective or placement, it is your responsibility to confirm that the program meets the criteria established by your institution. Volungo Abroad cannot complete institutional paperwork prior to your confirmation on a program. You are encouraged to consult with a Volungo Abroad representative before applying, and institutional representatives are welcome to contact us to verify program suitability. In exceptional cases, and only if agreed in writing by a Volungo Abroad team member, a refund may be granted if your institution formally rejects the program. Such a refund is conditional upon written confirmation from the institution explaining the reason for rejection. Any additional fees paid would remain subject to Volungo Abroad’s general Terms and Conditions.

All participants must provide a Criminal Background Check at their own expense.
-
For UK residents, a Basic Disclosure from GOV.UK is required.
-
For all others, a national-level criminal background certificate issued by your home country is required.

The document must be dated within 18 months of your program start date and submitted to Volungo Abroad at least 21 days before your scheduled arrival. For late applications (less than 21 days before start), the document must be submitted within a reasonable timeframe or an alternative may be requested. Failure to provide this document in time may result in cancellation without refund. Translation is not required — documents may be submitted in their original language.

If the background check reveals any record of illegal or unethical conduct, Volungo Abroad reserves the right to reject or cancel your participation without refund.

Payment Deadlines:
-
The total program fee must be paid no later than 60 days before your program start date. Failure to meet this deadline will be treated as a cancellation.
-
Applications submitted within 30 days of the start date must be paid in full at the time of submission.
-
Applications submitted 31 to 62 days before the start date must have their balance paid within three working days of confirmation.

While Volungo Abroad seeks to provide a meaningful and social group experience, we cannot guarantee the number of volunteers present in each destination at any given time, as participation levels vary and are managed by our local partner organizations.
4. Participant Criteria
All participants in Volungo Abroad programs must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years on the date their program begins. Some specific programs may have additional requirements or restrictions, which will be clearly indicated in the program information.

It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to fully disclose any physical, mental, or medical condition that may affect their ability to participate in the program. If you have any condition that requires special accommodation, or that could impact your capacity to safely and fully engage in program activities, you must inform Volungo Abroad in writing prior to confirming your participation.

This information is essential to ensure your safety and to allow us to coordinate with local partner organizations. While we will always do our best to support your participation, failure to provide this information in advance may result in the cancellation of your program without refund if the condition is deemed incompatible with the experience or cannot be reasonably accommodated.
5. Changes in Price
Program fees listed on the Volungo Abroad website are subject to change at any time, due to factors such as currency fluctuations, inflation, and rising operational or transportation costs in partner countries. We recommend that you always consult our website for the most up-to-date pricing.

Once your participation has been confirmed and full payment has been received, Volungo Abroad will honor the price agreed upon at the time of payment and will not apply any subsequent increases to your confirmed booking.
6. Payment Methods
Volungo Abroad accepts payments via credit and debit cards through Stripe, our secure online payment processor. We also accept bank transfers, which may be a suitable option for participants who prefer not to use a card. Banking details will be provided upon request or during the final stages of the application process.

Administrative fees may apply depending on your country of residence and local banking policies. Please ensure that any bank charges or transfer fees are covered on your end to avoid delays in confirming your payment.

Payment instructions and any applicable fees will be clearly communicated during the payment process.
Currently, we do not accept payments via third-party platforms such as PayPal or international money transfer services (e.g., Western Union).
7. Changes and Cancellations (By You)
Any request to modify your confirmed booking (e.g., change of destination, program, or dates) is subject to availability and must be made in writing via email. A €50 administrative fee will apply for each change per person. Additional charges may also apply if such changes result in increased costs from our local partner organizations. While Volungo Abroad will do its best to accommodate changes, we cannot guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.

Program changes can only be requested up to 60 days before your program start date. Requests made within 60 days of the start date, or after your program has already begun, will be considered a cancellation and are subject to the cancellation terms below.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email and are only considered effective upon our written acknowledgment.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:
– Cancellation 60 days or more before your program start date: a refund of 90% of the amount paid, plus a €90 administrative fee.
– Cancellation less than 60 days before the start date, or at any time after the program has begun: no refund will be issued.

If you change your program dates and later decide to cancel, the cancellation policy will apply based on the date the change was originally made, not the new program start date.

Please note that Volungo Abroad is not responsible for the refund of any additional arrangements you may have booked independently (e.g., flights, accommodation, excursions). We strongly recommend that you have a comprehensive travel insurance policy in place to cover such situations.
8. Changes and Cancellations (By Us)
Volungo Abroad reserves the right to cancel or significantly alter a program when necessary. A “significant change” does not include adjustments such as changes in local partner organization, project details, or accommodation name. It generally refers to major shifts such as date changes exceeding 48 hours or the cancellation of the program as a whole.

If such a situation occurs, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer one of the following options:
– Placement in an alternative program;
– Postponement of your program to a future date; or
– A full refund of the Program Fee paid.

Changes or cancellations may be necessary due to unforeseen, unavoidable, or extraordinary circumstances beyond our control, also known as force majeure. These may include (but are not limited to): war, natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism, border closures, industrial disputes, or extreme weather conditions.

If a cancellation caused by force majeure occurs more than 60 days before your program start date, you will receive a full refund of the Program Fee. If the cancellation occurs within 60 days, we are unable to issue a cash refund, as funds may already have been transferred to our local partners. However, your full payment will remain as credit, which can be applied to a future program of your choice.

Volungo Abroad assesses local conditions in collaboration with our partner organizations and by monitoring international sources such as local governments, health authorities, and global travel advisories. If conditions in the host country are deemed unsafe or make the program infeasible, we reserve the right to cancel your participation. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a transfer, postponement, or full program credit.

Please note that minor adjustments — such as schedule modifications, alternative accommodation, or staff changes — may occur with short notice, particularly in regions where public holidays or staff absences are not formally announced. These do not entitle participants to a refund. We and our partner organizations will do our best to provide equivalent alternatives when such changes are necessary.

By applying to a Volungo Abroad program, you acknowledge that all promotional materials (online or printed) provide an overview of what to expect. Actual experiences may vary depending on local conditions. Flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities for all participants. Volungo Abroad also reserves the right to change local partner organizations when deemed necessary to maintain or improve the quality of the volunteer experience.
9. Visas, Vaccinations and Destination Guides
Any guidance or information provided by Volungo Abroad regarding visa requirements, vaccinations, or destination-specific recommendations is offered in good faith, based on available public sources, but without guarantee or liability. Information may change at any time without notice, and it is the participant’s sole responsibility to verify all entry requirements with the relevant authorities.

Volungo Abroad is not affiliated with any embassy, consulate, visa service, or government agency. If you encounter issues with your visa application, approval, or extension (if needed), you must contact the appropriate embassy, consulate, or visa service directly to resolve the matter. While we may offer general advice or refer you to available resources, Volungo Abroad cannot be held responsible for visa delays, denials, or any resulting impact on your travel plans.

Participants are strongly encouraged to begin any necessary visa processes as early as possible, to allow time for contingencies should complications arise.

Regarding vaccinations, Volungo Abroad is not a medical authority and does not provide medical advice. Participants must consult a licensed healthcare provider or travel clinic in their home country to determine the appropriate vaccinations for their destination. Some vaccines require multiple doses and may take several weeks to become effective, so please plan accordingly.

It is also your responsibility to check with the embassy or consulate of your destination country to determine if proof of vaccination is legally required for entry. This must be done before applying to a Volungo Abroad program, as failure to meet health entry requirements may prevent you from participating.

Volungo Abroad is not liable for any costs, cancellations, or disruptions arising from issues related to visas, vaccinations, or other travel documentation. No refunds will be provided if a participant is unable to attend the program due to failure to obtain the necessary travel or health documentation.
10. Code of Conduct
Volungo Abroad is committed to promoting responsible volunteer travel and ethical collaboration with our partner organizations. This Code of Conduct is designed to ensure that your experience is safe, respectful, and beneficial for all parties involved — including local communities, fellow volunteers, and staff.

Any violation of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate termination of your participation without refund or further support, at the discretion of Volungo Abroad or the local partner organization.

By participating in a Volungo Abroad program, you agree to the following:
-
I understand and accept that Volungo Abroad and its partner organizations cannot be held liable for any loss, harm, or damage I may suffer, including but not limited to personal injury, emotional distress, illness, theft, or property damage during the course of my program.
-
I confirm that I have disclosed any physical, mental, or medical conditions that could affect my ability to participate fully and safely in the program.
-
I agree to obtain appropriate travel insurance covering the full duration of my time abroad, including all activities I may undertake, and any personal travel before or after the program.
-
I confirm that I have no criminal record and will provide an official criminal background check at least 21 days before the start of my program, as required.
-
I acknowledge that while efforts may be made to accommodate dietary needs, it is ultimately my responsibility to manage and cover any special food requirements during my stay.
-
I understand that weekends are free time for personal travel, and during these periods, I am considered to be outside the scope of the program. I am fully responsible for my own safety, planning, and any incidents that may occur while traveling independently.
-
I acknowledge that I am not an employee of Volungo Abroad or of any partner organization, and therefore I am not covered by employer liability insurance.
-
I accept that I am personally responsible for any liability incurred during the program, including but not limited to incidents of medical malpractice or accidental harm to others.
-
I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to research and comply with entry and visa requirements, as well as any vaccination obligations, for the country in which I will volunteer.
-
I am responsible for ensuring I have sufficient funds for the duration of my trip, including access to emergency funds if necessary, without reliance on Volungo Abroad.
-
I understand that any excursions or trips booked independently are entirely at my own risk and are not under the responsibility of Volungo Abroad or its partners.
-
I agree not to swim in the sea, lakes, or open water unless it is during a supervised activity organized by the local team with appropriate safety measures and a qualified guide. I confirm I am a confident swimmer if participating in such activities.
-
I agree to immediately inform the local team of any animal bites or scratches and to seek appropriate medical care, including post-exposure treatment, at my own cost.
-
I agree to consume alcohol responsibly and understand that excessive drinking, especially in ways that compromise my safety or that of others, is grounds for disciplinary action.
-
I understand that possession or use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the program without refund.
-
I acknowledge that any breach of this Code of Conduct may lead to disciplinary measures, including immediate removal from the program. If I choose to leave the program voluntarily, I understand that I am not entitled to any refund for unused time or services, nor to additional support for onward travel.

General Code of Conduct
As a participant in a Volungo Abroad program, I agree to uphold the following standards of behavior to ensure a respectful, safe, and meaningful experience for myself, the local community, and fellow participants:
-
I will dress appropriately, in accordance with local cultural norms and the guidelines provided by the local team — this includes behavior and dress both at the volunteer accommodation and in public areas.
-
I will maintain a positive, respectful, and proactive attitude throughout my stay, including in all project-related activities and interactions.
-
I will follow the project schedule as communicated by local staff or coordinators, respecting the structure and commitments of the host organization.
-
I will respect all safety rules during transportation arranged by Volungo Abroad or its partners, including wearing a seatbelt where required.
-
I understand that travel by public or non-partner transportation carries risks. Volungo Abroad is not responsible for loss of belongings or incidents during transport not arranged through the program.
-
I will assess the risks of all activities I choose to undertake, especially those arranged independently, and will only use reputable providers for excursions.
-
I will ask for permission before taking photos or videos of any children or adults at the project site, respecting the dignity and privacy of local communities.
-
I will respect and seek to understand local customs and culture, approaching the experience with openness and humility.
-
I will read all Volunteer Handbooks and orientation materials thoroughly to ensure I am well-prepared for my program and destination.
-
I will follow all safety recommendations provided by the local team and immediately report any health issues that arise during the program.
-
If I participate in more than one Volungo Abroad program, I understand that each destination may differ in structure, working conditions, and communication style. I will avoid making assumptions or comparisons across locations.
-
I will communicate directly with the local team in case of any problems or complaints, doing so promptly and respectfully to find a resolution.
-
I will not engage in romantic or sexual relationships with local staff, project team members, or members of the local community during the program.
-
I will abide by all laws of the host country and understand that even minor infractions may result in serious legal consequences.
-
I confirm that I have sought medical advice regarding vaccinations and any preventative medication (e.g., for malaria) prior to departure.
-
I commit to attending the project daily, except in the case of illness or exceptional circumstances.
-
I will maintain regular contact with family or trusted contacts at home throughout my stay abroad.
-
I understand that there may be health risks, including HIV exposure in certain environments. I will follow all safety protocols established by the local team.
-
I will not rent, drive, or ride motorbikes or mopeds at any point during the program. This includes avoiding motorbike taxis or guided motorbike excursions, even when offered by locals or third-party operators.

Accommodation Code of Conduct
As a participant in a Volungo Abroad program, I understand that the volunteer accommodation is a shared, culturally sensitive environment, and I agree to the following terms to ensure safety, respect, and a positive atmosphere for everyone:
-
I will respect local customs and accommodation rules, including any dress code that may apply within the property or surrounding areas.
-
I will not invite outside visitors into the accommodation under any circumstances.
-
I understand that if I choose to take independent trips or leave the program early, no refund will be issued for unused accommodation or services.
-
I will maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness in all shared and private spaces.
-
I will be responsible for my belongings, using safes or lockers when available, and understand that Volungo Abroad is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.
-
I will respect all local policies regarding alcohol consumption, including any zero-alcohol policy that may apply in the volunteer housing.
-
I will respect curfews and quiet hours, especially during nighttime, and ensure that my behavior does not disturb other residents or the surrounding community.
-
I agree to the use of CCTV surveillance in common and external areas of the accommodation, where applicable, for the purpose of ensuring participant safety.
-
If I am under the legal drinking age of the host country (which may vary between 18–21), I will not consume alcohol during the program.
-
If there is an on-site swimming pool, I will follow all safety guidelines provided by the local team. I confirm I am a confident swimmer and will not enter the pool under the influence of alcohol or by diving head-first.
-
I acknowledge that the local support team is available during designated hours, and I will respect their personal time outside of traditional program or emergency situations.

Medical & Mental Health Program Code of Conduct (If Applicable)
By participating in a medical or mental health-related program facilitated by Volungo Abroad, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
-
I understand that the program is structured as an observational and educational experience, designed to promote learning and cultural exchange with local healthcare professionals. It is not a hands-on medical internship, and I am expected to respect the boundaries set by the host organization and medical staff.
-
I am aware that I will be placed within a healthcare setting in a developing country, where infrastructure, resources, and medical protocols may differ significantly from those in my home country. I accept that there are inherent risks involved in this environment, which are often beyond the control of Volungo Abroad, as the program is delivered by third-party institutions.
-
I am responsible for adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the local healthcare facility.
-
I understand that language barriers and high workloads may affect the availability and communication with local staff, and that delays and logistical challenges may occur during the placement.
-
I acknowledge that Volungo Abroad does not guarantee or promote hands-on clinical experience. Any hands-on opportunities that arise will depend on my background, qualifications, and the sole discretion of the local medical professionals supervising the placement.
-
If I am authorized by the medical team to participate in any hands-on activity, I do so voluntarily and understand that Volungo Abroad holds no responsibility or liability for this decision or its outcomes. I accept full responsibility for any actions I take in such a context.
-
In the event of a needle stick injury or other exposure to bodily fluids, I will immediately notify the local staff and seek post-exposure treatment at my own expense.
Wildlife Program Code of Conduct (If Applicable)
By choosing to participate in a wildlife-related program facilitated by Volungo Abroad, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
-
I understand that I may be working in close proximity to wild or potentially dangerous animals, and I assume all risks associated with such interaction, including the risk of injury, illness, or disease transmission.
-
I recognize that activities such as rescue, handling, transport, or rehabilitation of wildlife carry an inherent risk of personal harm or property damage. I accept full responsibility for these risks and any consequences that may arise during the program.
-
I understand that it is my responsibility to seek professional medical advice before departure and to obtain any recommended vaccinations or preventative measures, based on the destination and nature of the wildlife program.
-
I am aware that handling of animals, when permitted, must always be carried out under the supervision of qualified local staff, and I agree to strictly follow all safety protocols and instructions provided by the project team.
11. Complaints Procedure
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your program, you must report the issue directly to the local coordinator at the partner organization as soon as possible. Timely communication is essential to allow for a prompt response and resolution while you are still in-country.

If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction, and you believe it significantly impacts your overall experience, you should then contact your Volungo Abroad Program Coordinator as soon as possible. In your message, please clearly outline the nature of the issue, the steps you have taken to address it locally, and any relevant details that may assist in resolving the matter.

All complaints must be submitted via email within 48 hours of the incident. We do not accept complaints submitted through informal channels such as social media, messaging apps, or text messages.

Complaints submitted after your program has ended and you have returned home limit our ability to respond or mediate effectively. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to raise concerns during the program, not after its completion.

By submitting a complaint, you acknowledge that Volungo Abroad may share relevant details with the local partner organization for the purpose of investigation and resolution. All complaints will be treated with confidentiality and respect.
12. Personal Risk
By applying to a program through Volungo Abroad, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with international volunteer travel. These programs may involve personal challenges, unforeseen circumstances, and activities that carry physical, emotional, and logistical risks. You agree to assume full personal responsibility for any such risks, both foreseen and unforeseen.

Volungo Abroad, including its staff and partner organizations, is not liable for any loss or harm you may suffer during your participation. This includes, but is not limited to: personal injury, emotional distress, illness, death, theft, damage or loss of personal property, natural disasters, civil unrest, war, terrorism, or any similar events. We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers all such risks.

Volungo Abroad serves as a facilitator, connecting volunteers with local, independent NGOs and partner organizations in Latin America. From the moment your program begins on-site, the local host organization assumes full responsibility for your experience. Volungo Abroad provides pre-departure support and orientation, but does not supervise, operate, or control the volunteer project directly.

You acknowledge that participants in Volungo Abroad programs are not employees of Volungo Abroad or of the partner organizations. Therefore, you are not covered by employer liability insurance. Any liability for injuries caused to others, such as medical malpractice or accidents, is your own responsibility and must be considered when engaging in any activity that goes beyond observation.

Public liability or insurance policies in place via local partners may offer limited coverage, which does not extend to individual decisions or unauthorized actions taken by the participant. You must adopt all required safety protocols and PPE measures as advised by the host organization.

Due to the nature of this travel, you must also be prepared for a flexible and adaptable environment, including possible delays, itinerary changes, or unexpected changes in accommodation or program structure. Most accommodations are shared and of basic standard. While Volungo Abroad and its partners will make efforts to assist you in case of discomfort, no guarantees can be made regarding alternative arrangements.
13. Data Collection
By applying to a program with Volungo Abroad, you authorize us to collect, store, and process personal information such as your name, contact details, address, nationality, emergency contacts, travel preferences, and relevant medical or personal information required for the administration of your volunteer experience.

This information will be shared, when necessary, with our local partner organizations, some of which may be located outside your country of residence. The purpose of this data sharing is to coordinate your participation, ensure your safety, and enhance the quality of your experience on-site.

We may also use your contact details for informational and marketing purposes, such as program updates, newsletters, or post-program engagement. You can opt out of these communications at any time by emailing us at info@volungo.com.
Feedback you provide through questionnaires, reviews, or social media content may be used — with your consent — to share with future volunteers or for promotional purposes, such as inclusion on our website, brochures, or presentations. In some cases, potential applicants may be allowed to contact you to hear firsthand about your experience, but only if you have given prior permission.

Volungo Abroad is committed to protecting your personal data. While some of our partners may be located in countries with different data protection regulations, we take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is handled securely and with respect. This includes appropriate physical, digital, and organizational safeguards.

If at any point you wish to withdraw your consent to any of the uses of your data described above, please contact us at info@volungo.com, and we will act accordingly.
14. Copyright
By participating in a Volungo Abroad program, you grant us the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use any comments, testimonials, photos, or videos you submit to us, or content publicly shared on social media in which Volungo Abroad is tagged or mentioned, for promotional and marketing purposes. This includes use in brochures, websites, social media platforms, and presentations.
Additionally, any CCTV footage recorded in communal areas of accommodation (when applicable) may be used exclusively for safety or promotional purposes, in accordance with local privacy regulations.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which Volungo Abroad is registered (currently Spain). Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
16. General
Unless otherwise stated, all communications relating to your participation — including complaints, formal requests, and updates — must be made in English or Spanish and submitted by the lead applicant named in the original application.

Volungo Abroad is not liable for any extensions, changes, or additional activities arranged independently by the participant with the local partner organization outside the original confirmed program. This includes extending your stay, engaging in separate projects, or organizing travel directly with local staff without involvement or written approval from Volungo Abroad.
